At Hamsa Healing, we respect your privacy and treat your personal and health information with care and confidentiality. We follow applicable Australian and NSW privacy laws.
Hamsa Healing is operated by Nadine Rizkallah (ABN 72 660 634 787), providing physiotherapy at Nepean Private Hospital Specialist Centre, Kingswood, and through telehealth where appropriate.
1. Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide physiotherapy, including your contact details, medical history, medications, referrals, surgical information, assessment findings, treatment notes and rehabilitation progress. We also keep relevant booking, payment and claim details.
Most information comes directly from you. Where appropriate and lawful, we may also receive relevant information from your GP, surgeon or other treating healthcare providers.
2. How we use and share information
We use your information to plan and provide care, keep clinical records, manage appointments and payments, communicate with you and review our services.
When appropriate for your care and permitted by law, we may exchange relevant information with your GP, surgeon or other treating providers—for example, surgical precautions or rehabilitation progress. We seek consent where required and welcome any questions or preferences about sharing.
Hamsa Healing and your orthopaedic surgeon's practice are separate services with separate patient records. We may also share information with authorised service providers, insurers or government agencies where needed for lawful administration or claims.
If important health information is unavailable, we may need to discuss what care we can safely provide.
3. Keeping your information safe
We use Cliniko and other authorised systems to manage patient records. We take reasonable steps to protect information and limit access to people who need it for their work.
We retain health records as required by NSW law—generally at least seven years after an adult patient's last service, or until age 25 for information collected while a patient was under 18.
4. Your choices
You can request access to your information, ask us to correct it, or update your communication preferences. Appointment messages support your care; marketing updates are optional, and you can opt out. We seek separate permission for promotional use of identifiable patient images or recordings.
